Job Description

Lucas Professional Search Group is looking for an experienced and energetic Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) to join our well-established client in London, ON. You will be part of top executive team reporting to the Board of Directors and your work will be a critical factor in the company’s daily operations and overall performance. Your main responsibilities will range from managing daily operations and resource allocation to enhancing corporate goals and strategic vision. Our ideal candidate is well organized, motivated, highly efficient, and a natural leader to assist in maintaining a smooth and functional operation.




  • Provide overall corporate leadership and guidance
  • Collaborate with colleagues to implement policies and develop improvements
  • Provide guidance to subordinate staff and evaluate performance
  • Provide input in business, corporate vision and strategic planning
  • Work with Directors to assess risk, set business goals and evaluate Senior level performance
  • Foster a pleasant and productive teamwork environment
  • Assist in the implementation of plans amongst staff and Directors, clarify expectations and timelines, evaluate success in reaching our goals, provide follow-up and review results as necessary
  • Develop and oversee corporate budgets
  • Review and improve financial reporting, report on financial performance, and provide recommendations to improve profits
  • HR roles including recruiting and on-boarding new staff, resolving issues, managing discipline, accountability and terminations
  • Assist with Corporate and legal matters as they arise
  • Collaborate with colleagues to review and improve internal policies and procedures
  • Delegate duties to internal support staff
  • Manage training processes, resource allocation and workload distribution
  • Identify areas of improvement that are necessary and assist Directors in prioritizing corporate action items




  • Post secondary education with related experience
  • Minimum 10 years previous working experience as a Chief Administrative Officer of 20+ staff
  • Experience in consulting, operations management, accounting, fiscal reporting, and human resources
  • Solid understanding of business functions
  • Knowledge of fiscal planning, budgeting and reporting
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability in decision-making and problem-solving
  • Excellent organizational and leaderships skills
  • Self-driven individual with outstanding communication, interpersonal, leadership skills, and conflict resolution skills
  • Creative thinker, multi-tasker, and problem solver
  • Knowledge of business mergers and acquisitions
